Masterplanning of New All Weather Racecourse and Equestrian Facility

The brief required a completely new racecourse including a grandstand for racegoers and corporate entertainment. Other requirements included a parade ring, onsite stabling to incorporate a veterinary area and isolation yard, an indoor and outdoor arena for dressage and show jumping, horse box unloading and parking, segregated car parking arrangements and appropriate security arrangements.
The dimensions of the site and the overhead cabling impacted considerably on the layout and KWA had to be innovative in its design approach particularly as the site will be used for a variety of equine purposes ranging from international horse racing to dressage, show jumping and even leisure equestrianism.
