The brief required an all weather sports pitch at the British Racing School, Newmarket. The facility was required for recreational and fitness use by students; it was to be used by students as part of their course to improve fitness levels and as a recreational facility for boarding students to use in their free time.

The 40m x 30m facility was sited adjacent to the accommodation wing at the British Racing School to allow easy access for students. It incorporates a 3G all weather surface suitable for sports such as football and hockey. The facility also benefits from floodlighting to allow use throughout the year.
